Clone REAL1220 is an antibody fragment derived from the full CD169 (Siglec-1) antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAdye_lease Complex to bind markers with high avidity.

Clone REAL1220 recognizes the human CD169 (Siglec-1), also known as sialoadhesin, which is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein. It is the largest member of the siglec family, which are cell surface lectins that are able to bind to sialic acids and mediate interactions between proteins and carbohydrates. Siglec-1 is mainly expressed on tissue macrophages and dendritic cells and interacts with its counterreceptor on T cells, which has been identified as CD43.

For removal of REAdye_lease fluorochromes for optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAdye_lease antibodies use the REAlease Support Kit (130-120-675).
