Clone REAL591 is an antibody fragment derived from the full Anti-γ-Actin 1 antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAdye_lease Complex to bind markers with high avidity.

Clone REAL591 recognizes the human gamma actin 1 protein, also known as gamma-cytoplasmic actin, encoded by the ACTG1 gene, and belongs to the actin family which consists of highly conserved proteins. Actin gamma 1 is involved in various types of cell motility and are ubiquitously expressed in all eukaryotic cells.Genomic mutations of ACTG1 lead to DFNA26, Non-syndromic neurosensory deafness autosomal dominant type 20 or Baraitser-Winter syndrome 2 (BRWS2).

For removal of REAdye_lease fluorochromes for optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAdye_lease antibodies use the REAlease Support Kit (130-120-675).
