Clone REAL291 is an antibody fragment derived from the full Siglec-F antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAlease Complex to bind markers with high avidity.

Clone REAL291 recognizes the mouse siglec-F antigen, also kown as siglec-5, which belongs to the sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-type lectins (siglec) family. Siglecs are expressed on immune cells and are a subset of the I-type lectins. Siglec-F contains an immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motif (ITIM) in its cytoplasmic domain. In mouse, siglec-F is an inhibitory receptor on eosinophils.

The REAlease Kits consist of the respective fluorochrome-conjugated REAlease Complexes and the REAlease Support Kit for removal of the REAlease Complexes and optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAlease Complexes.
