PepTivator® M. tuberculosis TB10.4, research grade，130-132-053，美天旎

Stimulate T cells reactive to the TB10.4 antigen of Mycobacterium tuberculosis using PepTivator^® Peptide Pools. PepTivators are pools of lyophilized peptides, consisting mainly of 15-mer sequences with 11 amino acids overlap. PepTivator M. tuberculosis TB10.4 is a peptide pool covering the complete sequence of the TB10.4 protein (UniProtKB Acc. no. P9WNK3).

In vitro stimulation of antigen-specific T cells with PepTivator Peptide Pools causes the secretion of effector cytokines and the up-regulation of activation markers, which then allow the detection and isolation of antigen-specific T cells.

Tuberculosis (TB) caused by infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. According to the WHO a quarter of the world’s population is infected with M. tuberculosis. While most infections are latent and asymptomatic, about 5–10% of infections progress to active disease. TB persists as a serious global health threat, requiring new vaccines and therapeutics to combat multidrug resistance. TB10.4 is an immunodominant M. tuberculosis antigen that belongs to the ESAT-6 protein family. TB10.4 was shown to elicit a strong Th1 controlled immune response and to induce antigen‑specific CD4⁺ and CD8⁺ T cells that are present in high numbers throughout infection.
