Clone REA912 recognizes the human myeloid DAP12-associating lectin 1 (MDL-1) antigen, also known as CLECSF5 or CLEC5A. MDL-1 is a type II transmembrane protein belonging to the C type lectin superfamily. It is exclusively expressed in monocytes and macrophages. The association of DAP12 and MDL-1 is essential for the activation in myeloid cells.
Additional information: Clone REA912 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
