Clone REAL264 is an antibody fragment derived from the full CD140b antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAlease Complex to bind markers with high avidity.

Clone REAL264 recognizes the human CD140b antigen, a single-pass type I membrane protein, also known as platelet-derived growth factor receptor beta (PDGFR-β). CD140b is broadly expressed in embryonic tissue and in cells of mesodermal origin in adult tissue as fibroblasts, smooth muscle cells, glial cells, and chondrocytes. It is a tyrosine-protein kinase that acts as a cell-surface receptor for homodimeric PDGFB and PDGFD and for heterodimers formed by PDGFA and PDGFB, and plays an essential role in the regulation of embryonic development, cell proliferation, survival, differentiation, chemotaxis, and migration.

The REAlease Kits consist of the respective fluorochrome-conjugated REAlease Complexes and the REAlease Support Kit for removal of the REAlease Complexes and optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAlease Complexes.
