The Adipose Tissue Dissociation Kit, mouse and rat, has been developed for the gentle and efficient generation of single-cell suspensions from mouse and rat adipose tissue. It has been optimized for a high yield of non-adipocyte lineages, including adipose tissue derived stem and progenitor cells, immune cells, endothelial cells and stromal cells while preserving cell surface epitopes. Single-cell suspensions can be used in downstream applications, including functional, genetic, and proteomic studies, and analyzed in vitro for phenotype distributions.

For gentle and efficient dissociation, adipose tissue is enzymatically digested using the components of the kit, while the gentleMACS™ Dissociators are used for the mechanical dissociation steps. For highest convenience, choose the gentleMACS Octo Dissociator with Heaters enabling on-instrument enzyme incubation.
