Clone REAL1525 is an antibody fragment derived from the full antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAdye_lease Complex to bind markers with high avidity.

Clone REAL1525 recognizes the Aquaporin 1 (AQP1) antigen, a member of the water-selective channel family, whose physiological function has been characterized in the kidney. Aquaporin 1 physically resembles channel proteins and is abundant in erythrocytes and renal tubes. Expressed also in a number of tissues including retinal pigment epithelium, heart, lung, skeletal muscle, kidney and pancreas, weakly in brain, placenta and liver. Aquaporin 1 expression in tumor cells was shown to contribute to enhanced tumor spread and metastatic potential.

For removal of REAdye_lease fluorochromes for optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAdye_lease antibodies use the REAlease Support Kit (130-120-675).
