Clone REAL1534 is an antibody fragment derived from the full P4HB antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAdye_lease Complex to bind markers with high avidity.

Clone REAL1534 recognizes P4HB, a multifunctional protein, which catalyzes the formation, breakage and rearrangement of disulfide bonds. At high concentrations it functions as a chaperone that inhibits aggregation of misfolded proteins. P4HB is the receptor for LGALS9; the interaction retains P4HB at the cell surface of Th2 T helper cells, increasing disulfide reductase activity at the plasma membrane, altering the plasma membrane redox state and enhancing cell migration. P4HB protein has been found to be associated with tumorigenesis in many types of tumor and neurodegenerative diseases.

For removal of REAdye_lease fluorochromes for optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAdye_lease antibodies use the REAlease Support Kit (130-120-675).
