Clone REAL1435 is an antibody fragment derived from the full Cadherin-17 antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAdye_lease Complex to bind markers with high avidity.

Clone REAL1435 recognizes Cadherin-17, also called liver-intestine cadherin is a calcium-dependent cell adhesion glycoprotein, encoded by the CDH17 gene. Cadherins preferentially interact with themselves in a homophilic manner in connecting cells, and may thus contribute to the sorting of heterogeneous cell types. Cadherin-17 may have a role in the morphological organization of liver and intestine. The CDH17 geneis known to be associated with vascular invasion, tumor metastasis, and advanced tumor stage- Cadherin-17 is involved in intestinal peptide transport. Expression of Cadherin-17 was reported in gastric, pancreatic, hepatocellular (HCC) and colorectal adenocarcinomas.

For removal of REAdye_lease fluorochromes for optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAdye_lease antibodies use the REAlease Support Kit (130-120-675).
