Recombinant Human Interleukin-28A (IL28A) is a bioactive protein intended for use in cell culture applications. IL28A is involved in the immune response, with functionality similar to type I interferons. IL28A has been shown to bind a heterodimeric receptor comprised of IL-10 receptor beta and IL-28 receptor alpha.

High biological activity
In-house activity testing of Gibco® Recombinant Proteins includes cell proliferation, cytotaxis, calcium flux, secondary cytokine up-regulation, induction of surface antigen expression, and protease assays. Recombinant Human Interleukin-28A (IL28A) specific activity is determined by the dose dependent protection of the cytopathic effect on A549 cells.
