Clone REAL689 is an antibody fragment derived from the full IgM antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAdye_lease Complex to bind markers with high avidity.

IgM is the first immunoglobulin produced by B cells in the immune response. Surface IgM is expressed on immature and mature B cells, whereas IgM heavy chain is expressed intracellularly in pre-B cells. IgM serves as the antigen receptor of naive B cells and is involved in B cell maturation and complement activation. It reacts with the soluble as well as membrane-bound form of human IgM.

For removal of REAdye_lease fluorochromes for optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAdye_lease antibodies use the REAlease Support Kit (130-120-675).
