Luminex® xMAP® Technology: An Effective and Proven Analytical Tool
For the past 10 years, Luminex® xMAP® technology has gained wide acceptance as a multiplex tool for use in a variety of applications, including protein expression profiling, focused gene expression profiling, and disease testing. The MAGPIX® instrument employs xMAP® technology in a new instrument built with light-emitting diodes (LEDs) for excitation, a CCD camera for bead and analyte detection, and high-speed digital signal processors. All Luminex® instruments utilize xPONENT® Software to distinguish bead color (analyte) and assay signal strength (PE) fluorescence intensity. The xPONENT® software provides the user the opportunity to enable the 21CFR Part 11 module for regulatory compliance.

Built on the xMAP® bead technology, Novex® immunoassays are designed for the detection of either single or multiple analytes in a single biological sample. Our MAGPIX® system combined with our qualified assays offer accurate analytical performance with efficient, easy-to-follow protocols. In addition, the quantitative analytical results obtained are routinely tested against matching ELISAs to help ensure correlative results.
