The Silver Maintenance and Support Package is designed to meet the needs of the customer that wants proactive maintenance and onsite 48-hour response time for their FLEXMAP® 3D™ system. All packages are subject to the terms and conditions of the Luminex standard Maintenance and Support Agreement. The Silver Maintenance and Support Package includes:
• Unlimited visits for emergency repair
• Costs associated with emergency repair (includes travel and labor only); parts are extra
• One preventative maintenance visit per year
• On-site 48 hour response time, once a purchase order has been submitted for estimated parts
• Priority scheduling for requests for service
• Product Updates* and Modifications**
• Unlimited 24x7x365 remote support

*Update means any software service pack released for the then current version of covered software
**Modification means required engineering change orders that modify the hardware of the system

Luminex® xMAP® Technology: An Effective and Proven Analytical Tool
For the past 10 years, xMAP® technology has gained wide acceptance as a multiplex tool for use in a variety of applications, including protein expression profiling, focused gene expression profiling, and disease testing. The Luminex® 200™ or FLEXMAP® 3D™ instruments use xMAP® technology by combining fluorescent bead-based assays with flow cytometry, two lasers and real-time digital signal processing. The MAGPIX® instrument is based on xMAP® technology in a new instrument built with light-emitting diodes (LEDs) for excitation, a CCD camera for bead and analyte detection, and high-speed digital signal processors. All Luminex instruments utilize xPONENT® software to distinguish bead color (analyte) and assay signal strength (PE) fluorescence intensity.

Built on the xMAP® bead technology, the Novex® brand immunoassays are designed for the detection of either single or multiple analytes in a single biological sample. The Luminex® 200™, FLEXMAP® 3D™ and MAGPIX® systems along with qualified assays from Life Technologies offer accurate analytical performance with efficient, easy-to-follow protocols. In addition, the quantitative analytical results obtained are routinely tested against matching ELISAs to help ensure correlative results.
